In this podcast, I talk about how my struggle with writer’s block was really a struggle to find my voice and push aside the old fears that were holding me back. For me the old adage “to be a writer, just write” was a false one. To be a writer, I had to turn away from writing completely and find myself.

Now I can look to my favorites like Sylvia Plath and Cheryl Strayed and Willa Cather without putting the pressure on myself to BE them. I’m Antonia. I am a writer because I say I am. There is success in that alone.
